We have a modest reuse facility on site to make up unusual items from wooden materials that are either at the end of their life or would otherwise be skipped.
Portable Applicance Testing
We undertake a seven point safety check including certification, labelling and identification of all appliances known as a PAT test, in accordance with the Electricity at Work Act (1989). Before we place an item up for sale we’ll make sure one of our volunteers has had it thoroughly safety checked.
PAT testing does not involve maintenance of the equipment, rather it is the testing of the power supply, cable and wire from the socket to the equipment. It refers to anything that can be connected to a power socket. This includes items from a bedside lamp to a washing machine, etc.
